Cartoon Brew posted this a while ago, but I didn't watch it until yesterday. A fascinating and priceless bit of vintage television: the meeting of two famous wiseguys--and probably one of the only times Ward Kimball looked (a little) in awe of anybody.
He does get in one good comeback with perfect timing and delivery, though.

heh, giving the designer of Jiminy Cricket a question about Pinocchio, that's smart.
I was surprised that, though he was in the industry himself, he couldn't identify Olivia de H's sister. This is a very single-track kind of person, is my guess!
Although slightly delayed, Ward gives a particularly classic take when the "secret word" duck comes down at 06:15. An animator's acting chops at work.
I got a kick out of this. Fun to see Ward Kimball interact with Groucho. Felt sorry for the poor Irish lady - she all but got ignored!
