Like most of my ilk, every year I save those holiday cards that are either sentimentally precious or very appealing-or both.
The thing is, after I put them away I rarely know exactly
where I've put them. Here's an example from lo, these many years past(1994 actually); it just fell out of a pile of saved paper.
The artist is the prodigious and wonderful Nico Martlet. He handmade and painted all his cards that year-lucky me!
Oh wow!
ReplyDeleteLucky you!
I wonder how many he made...
I suspect he didn't make too many-he did them for everyone on the production but the crew at that time was pretty small-not even a dozen people, and he'd just come over to the US for the first time (btw the bear was a character he designed for the film "Balto").
ReplyDeleteWow! A beautiful card! I love hand-made cards!
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I'd have to become a lot more famous and accomplished before hand-made cards from me would be a treat!
ReplyDeleteI do it for birthdays, but this year, for my big list it's a print of a painting with a ribbon and bells photoshopped around.
HA HAAA!! That is so coooool!! I hope your holidays have been awsome! I never get to see you!!!
ReplyDeleteLove, Shane

ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays, Jenny!
ReplyDeleteSorry...
