The World of Tomorrow

Just because it's Saturday, and also because this one is a bit rarer than the other attraction posters:

  1. Sweet! What a great poster...makes me want a flying saucer of my very own. :)

  3. Hi tygriffin, Bob--yep, isn't it cool? I love the girl with her 50s ponytail and skirt piloting her saucer back there. The design, font, everything--just terrific. Too bad about the ride--apparently it didn't function enough of the time to keep it open for very long--actually floating around on compressed air?! Wow. I don't think there's anyone being terribly clever with new rides any more--maybe Imagineering will rise again, though--soon. : )

With Lassetar in the house, I'm hoping for actual flying cars.

And homes that fold up into your briefcase.

  5. I took lame photos of old posters and my family rolled their eyes. there exists a green and blue hued version also. inspired by sci fi and pulp it seems!

  6. Incidentally, this is the only Disneyland attraction poster to be designed and drawn by Rolly Crump. I wish he had done more of them!
